My journey through data

Writing has always been a passion in my life. After studying literature in college, I joined a harm reduction and prevention association in parallel with my professional activity. When I was elected to the association’s national board of directors, for 7 years I was involved in writing the annual activity report for the public authorities to justify our public subsidies.

In 2018, upon discovering Cryptokitties, I started writing articles about NFTs in French, as no documentation existed on the subject at the time. I was soon noticed by NonFungible.com (who were organizing a giveaway worth 50 ETH, for the record) and started writing articles for their blog as a web editor before becoming Head of Content in 2019. With the rest of the team, it was the start of an adventure that would continue until the end of 2022.

Every week I wrote the weekly newsletter and published an article about the NFT ecosystem. Every year and then every quarter, I took part in writing NFT market trend reports. I also managed a team of three web editors to help me write a free, no-registration academy to understand all aspects of NFT from a beginner’s level upwards.

From Head of content to Data Analyst

Following the closure of NonFungible.com, I decided to professionalize the skills I’d acquired in the field: in 2023, I took a Data Analyst training course, from which I graduated. Learning new tools (like SQL, Python -Pandas and Machine Learning- and PowerBi) was a revelation for me. Don’t get me wrong, I really love Excel. But this course took me to the next level of data analysis and processing.

I then joined the NFT18 startup founded by Gauthier Zuppinger to set up the entire technical architecture to automate data extraction and processing for our two missions:

By combining my knowledge of code, our expertise in NFT and the use of artificial intelligence, we were able to put in place all the tools we needed to meet our needs and those of our customers flexibly and efficiently. Every database cleansing, every analysis, every report writing was a moment of shared passion to interpret all the KPIs and tell the most objective stories of this innovative market.

At the same time, I’ve created my own dashboards to track market trends and evolution at a glance, using the Dune Analytics online tool. I’ve also labeled over 1,000 NFT projects to correctly categorize the type of project they belong to (e.g. Art, Metaverse, video games…) so that everyone can make correct analyses of the different sectors represented in NFTs.

But my adventure in Data was just beginning. Being able to show what kind of dashboards I could make opened up other opportunities for me, particularly in the world of AI, where more and more companies are using it. Today, I passionately continue to observe developments in the NFT market and, above all, focus on workflow automation to help improve team productivity and efficiency.
